How to lazy roast Pumpkin and Lamb simply

dig out the seeded part of the Butternut Pumpkin (squash for you yanks!) and shove the small lamb roast in the canoe you have made in the halved butternut. Put some butter underneath the lamb. with herbs of your choice
I personally put pizzza herbs garlic pepper and rosemearry.
Tip #1 - Once the Lamb is tucked in the pumpkin boat
Make sure you oil the roast Lamb. And please if you have a bigger roast buy a bigger pumpkin.
USE some good sea salt to rub over the Lamb roast but you can rub whatever you want...
This is just basic traditional simple falvours,
Tip #2 - Using a webber or BBQ
If you dont. have a good enclosure to keep the heat in. Then use almunium foil or tin foil over the top and loosely cover. DONT WRAP IT UP... you just need a lid to reflect the heat back on the top of the roast.
Place in your oven/Webber/ BBQ, In Roasting tray for best results
Tip #3 - score the pumpkin on the top
Like the more lines you cut into the top where the lamb is the more the flavours run into the pumpkin.
Tip #4 - The pumpkin skin will be black
Either scrape the pumpkin out of the skin or serve in long cuts so people can eat it like a watermelon slice. The skin is burnt so... yeh... burnt... don't eat!
Tip #5 - There you have it.
The best tasting pumpkin with all the flavour of a lamb roast and rosemarry and various other flavours in whatever herbs and spices you chose. #roasmary #lambroast
I blast the BBQ on 220 Degrees Celcius or 420F for 30 mins for a 1kg then turn offf and let rest for 20 mins in the BBQ
then Blast it again for another 20 mins on medium 180 Deg Celcius. 350F
But this all depends on the size of your roast.
Cut a bit off and see if its cooked is the oldest trick in the book.
Once cooked -Serving instructions
The best flavout topping I really like with the lamb and pumkin is yogurt. If you want mix some fresh herbs into the yogurt if you are rich flashy person. But if not just yogurt is fine flavour. And a side of pickeld anything is also good to cleanse the pallet while eating. Of course peas are your choice of mint or original.... Mint sauce whatever you want...
